JOEY TPA Aliases: RC Started:1976 on trains Primary affiliations: TPA, TC Local origin: Queens Lines hit: INDs, BMTs Queens native JOEY TPA started became involved in writing graffiti in the early 1970s. In the late 1970s he would make a significant mark on the subway system with The Public Animals. (He was a founding TPA member). He was especially effective on the IND division. He became known mainly for throw-ups. He pushed the alias RC almost as frequently as his main name JOEY. In addition to writing with TPA members like VADE and DEMO, he wrote with a slew of legendary writers. In 1982 JOEY brought his subway writing career to a close. More on JOEY TPA in the future.
