NEW WAVE ARTISTS The New Wave Crew was active on the subway during the early 1980s. Many members were classmates at the High School of Art and Design. Membership has included artists such as GIL aka SIZER, MIDG aka LB, SUB, EROS, ERNI aka PAZE and FOME. The crew painted elaborate pieces and whole cars on the IRT and BMT divisions. They made considerable efforts on the 2, 5, RR, J, LL and M lines. Many crew members have forged sucessful careers in a variety of creative fields such as graphic design, fine art, commercial illustration and set design. More on NWA in the future.
