MKAY INTERVIEW ©2006 @149st Do not republish without permission. I started writing graff in 1982 in The Bronx with my brothers CAV SV, TIDE MPC, KEY COD and my sister LADY RAID. I did my first throw up in 1983 and my first peace in 1984. When I was going to school I used to watch the trains going in the 241st yard and I liked what I seen on the trains. My mentor was CAP MPC. My throw up style came from CAP MPC and my style was influenced by SHAME 125 TOA. My name I got by just writing on paper one day and my name is Mike so I just like the letters m and k from my name and that's how I started writing MK. The writers who I painted with threw out the years were my brothers CAV, TIDE and KEY and my sister LADY RAID. Also CAP MPC, POVE GU, COPE 2 KD,WANE.COD, REAS AOK, SAK MBT, RUN MBT, SENTO.TFP, DES.KTC, NOTE KTC, AKA VAZ TGF, MAN KTC, DOSE MPC, RAY COD, JSON THE MOB, TKID 170 TNB WS, SEEN UA, WIPS COD, SAR TMB, SACH RTW, TONE GU LIMO GU BLIST, GIN MPC, MI,GU ABE, DILINGER, CHOSE, DUSK GU, EVOL GU, SM GU,MARS RIP, PAWS MPC RIP, BUST.MPC RIP, QUICK GU KD RIP,BOOTS 119. SHAME 125 TOA, CEM2 TAC, KENN TAC, ACE TAC, BIO TAT, RAZ TAT, BG183 TAT, GHOST RIS, REM311 TGF, RARE GU, KIRS MPC, MILK TFP, NEON TFP, PURE FBA, RIZE FBA, CASE2 TFP, BEM KTC MPC. I hit the 2, 5, 4,6, D, RR and 3lines I had alot of partners in graff TONE GU SM GU LIMO GU ACE TAC DES KTC MPC. The crews I wrote with are KTC, TFP, TAT, TAC, MPC, GU, TMB, TNB, TOA, RTW, SV, AOK, OTB, MBT, TGF, RIS, UA, COD and KD. I got raided a lot of times when I went up I got raided but still came back to finish up my piece. The top cops were Hicky and Ski. The best writers of my era were SEEN UA TKID 170 TNB WS SKEME, DEZ, CASE 2 TFP, BUTCH, IZ THE WIZ QUIK RTW MIN RTW DURO CIA SACH RTW. I quit painting trains between 1988-1989. I am now starting to get back in the art world. I just did a comeback wall at 5 Poinz in 2006 in Queens. My closing words are I will always have graff on my mind and will always love it and I will always be known as the true original MKAY KTC, TFP from The Bronx. Peace out.
