His most famous subway painting done in 1979 with LEE Quinones was a tribute to Andy Warhol's Campbels' Soup cans. His work gained attention of art dealers as well as aerosol artists. His paintings have been displayed world wide with the likes of Keith Haring, Lee Quinones and Jean Michele Basquiat.

He became well known for his efforts in introducing America and the world to Hip Hop Culture. He utilized his connections both in the media and on the street to help the expansion of Hip Hop.

Brathwaith has also done a great deal of work in the recording and film industries. He is known for his cult hit record Change The Beat, hosting of Yo! MTV Raps, producing music videos for recording artists such as KRS One, Snoop Dogg and Queen Latifah and a staring role and music production in Charlie Ahern's film Wild Style in addition to many other accomplishments.
