Train Yards and Layups

THE J YARD

The D Yard, also known as the Concourse yard, is locatedon the IRT 4 line at the Bedford Park station. It is one of the city's largest yards. Mainly Ds and CCs are housed here. There are also cleaning facilities for the exteriors of subway cars. Adjacent to the D Yard is the 4 Yard which is located beneath the Tracy Towers apartment complex.
