CLAW Started: 1989 Primary affiliations: TC5, FC Local origin: Queens Areas Hit: NYC Streets CLAW started her writing career around 1989 when the subway graffiti era was coming to a close, so street writing was a natural venue for her. At this point there still very few women writing in New York City. CLAW started off hitting the streets with tags and throw-ups. She left New York briefly and returned in 1990 with stronger ambition to make her mark. At this point she began to do pieces as well. During the early '90s her name could was frequently seen along side writers like MQ and crews like The Cool 5. Around 1996 CLAW disappeared from the active New York writing scene.
